I am in the market for a set of headlight actuators and vacuum relays for my 76 vette. I have read on this forum in various places that some of the reproductions are good and some are junk.
One vender says that there are two manufacturers of reproduction relays... one is cheap quality, and one is good (what he carries)... he says that the good one can be identified by a beveled vac hose nozzle.
There also appears to be two variants of reproduction actuators as well out there. One has a straight vac hose inlet and one has a bulb end vac nozzel...
So, I would like to know if there is a good way to tell that you are ordering the "good" ones... and better yet where to get the good ones. Thanks!
Contact Willcox, I believe they test each of the actuators along with vacuum relays, another area of questionable or little quality control on restoration parts.
