You'll get more performance out out the high flow exhaust and X-pipe than you will out of sidepipes with glasspacks. It is probably a different story if you have Hooker headers with side pipes and run JCL Spiral baffles instead of the Hooker's very restrictive glass packed mufflers.
There have been some dyno runs done by forum members that show very little drop in HP using the JCL baffled Hookers over completely open pipes.
