Default Contact Breaker Points - 1980

Hello,
I recently purchased a 1980 (non-CA) that is bone stock. I want to do a tune up and replace all the common parts that wear out after 40 years. I've found some good kits on Zip Corvette and other sites but I can not find anywhere a reference to the contact breaker points for the distributor. I see the cap, rotor etc. but no points or condenser. I'm pretty sure (well I think I'm pretty sure) that this model did not have electronic ignition so I'm confused by the apparent lack of breaker points.

Any insight would be much appreciated!

A stock 80 has HEI; HEI does not have points. Cap, coil, and module may need to be replaced.

Since '75.

If the module is original, that would be a smart replacement.
Keep the old one in one of the rear compartments along with tools to replace it.

Cap & Rotor kit go hand n hand. Usually get a price break with both.

The spare module is like a can of Fix-A-Flat. Just incase. And when they go, its without warning. Just drop-dead, no spark.

I keep a used Modge in a ziplock bag, coated with heat sink compound and the tools needed to change it in a rear compartment.
I have been stranded before because of those GM modges.
A modge is $50.
A towtruck is $70

Original module is likely better than the chinese garbage out there now, I would rather keep a new one as an emergency spare. Pick up coil is the more likely failure on a GM HEI, change it out if the wires seem to be a bit crusty, does require pulling the distributor and disassembling it to change though.
