I'm sure this has been posted before, my account and defrost control only blows to the floor. Where do.i start

It would really help if we had any idea what year the car was...

I presume you have A/C but the Microsoft or Apple spell checker got in the way. This is a picture of my non-ac equipped 69 heater and vent control. Note the hoses coming from the upper left. This part of the system uses vacuum to move certain flappers in the ducts to direct airflow to the desired vents.. If you don’t have vacuum to the port in and/or you have leaking/cracked/dislodged hoses on the port out side(s), you will have issues.

I won’t get into the details on how to troubleshoot the system here but you can search the forum and find several well documented articles on how to do it. Recommend you look at the Willcox and Paragon websites for system diagrams on where the affected components are located. Unfortunately, this will require some dash disassembly so be aware this is not the easiest job if you have little to no experience with these systems.
