Default Octane Boost

I am seriously considering buying a 1970 Corvette LT-1. With 11.0 :1 Does anyone have an octane boost they might recommend?
Thanks in advance.

Shouldn't need it Mate. Should run fine on pump gas.

What is your concern? To answer your question. Torco.

If you aren't going to be on it, 98 unleaded with some 110 leaded mixed in. If you are going to beat on it, 100% 110 leaded or better. I run 98/100 mix in my L71 with no issues.

My LT1 runs fine. Depending on where you live (elevation), you might have to dial the advance back a bit. But if you're lucky to live in a rural area where ethanol free gas is available, use it.
My experience with additives is that they tend to foul plugs. Good luck and enjoy! I would test drive it to see if it actually pings before you buy it. If it does, it is easily remedied, but use it as a bargaining point with the seller.

I would try the Torco first before detuning the ignition curve.

jbsblownC5 is a Torco dealer here. Just picked up a 6 pack of "Acclerator" boost its 120ish
Stuff in the auto parts store is garbage. When they say "raises it a point" they mean 91. to 91.1 lol
VP or torco is the way to go

Mine runs fine on 91, (Best I can get here). Took a bit of tuning, advance curve & vacuum advance.

I run 93, no issues. May get a little rattle if too much throttle at too low rpm. Mine's a 70 @ 11 to 1.
