More Small Block Chevy trivia
The first SBC debuted in 1955. It displaced 265 CI. Other than this, what makes the 265 unique from its successors?
First correct answer gets a back rub from the moderator of their choice.

That may be correct but that's not what I have in mind. You're not too far off, though.

I just read this the other day. I'm sure it has something to do with the oil system.

I never owned a 55, but I had a 54 and a 57, so I'll make a wild guess based on what I remember about the differences between those two cars. Was it the only Chevy year to have a 6 Volt starting/ignition system with the V8?

Re: More Small Block Chevy trivia (Neo Fender)
There are a few differences.. No oil filter, no motor mount bosses on the side of the block, and the oil system is a little different in that the cam MUST have a flat on the rear bearing surface or one bank will not get oil.
