Default 73 Weird Light Issue

I’m having a strange issue with the lights on a 73 C3 original wire harness. There are two different scenarios, when the running lights/headlights are off and the brake is applied, the left rear running light turns on and the right rear light is the normal brake light. When the turn signals are on the left turns on the running and the right turns on the brake.

With the running/headlights are on and NO brake is applied there is no left front marker, the left brake light is on, right running light on and in the dash the left turn signal stays on. With the turn signals, the left does nothing, but dim the dash light and the right is just the brake.
Any advice is appreciated.
-Thanks Will

In addition to the above, check each bulb to make sure:
1) it is the correct one for that light
2) the contacts on it and the socket are clean
3) it is installed properly
Also check the wiring to the sockets for shorts or wires touching each other or a piece of metal.

Report back what you find and how you repaired it to share with others on the Forum. Also posts some pics of your 73. Welcome to the club!

check all the light grounds. When you step on the pedal and incorrect lights light up , the power is finding an alternate route to get to gorund through those circuits. You will have to disconnect and clean a lot of grounds.May as well check the battery to frame ground as well if all the others are rusted and bad

Thanks everyone, the problem was the front grill marker socket not grounding properly and for the rear I flipped the pigtail that goes into the housing and now the correct light emits.
