Default 1981 corvette head light vacuum

about 6 months ago i replaced all vacuum lines the ones that i was worried about were to the front head lights, i was also worried about the front head light on drivers side was slow so i replaced the drivers side vacuum relay. every thing has been working good untill a week ago and the passenger side head light was going up slow, well this is a no brainer i thought so i call zip corvette order another head light relay instal it the head light will not open so check all my fittings even the ones under the dash all are tight, so i re instal the old passenger side relay head light opens up very slow. hum call zip corvette up they say maybe the one we sent you is bad we will get another out to you got it today install it drivers side goes up passenger side does not. so i re check all my connections they are good ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HELP THIS IS BLOWING MY SMALL MIND

All fine and good to test, replace the relays. have you checked the headlight actuators for vacuum leaks? you could have a blown rod seal, or both of them could be leaking. A vacuum gauge is your friend. Also try switching relays side to side and see what happens.

Default 1981 corvette vacuum problem

well i found the problem thought i would share the story as mentioned i ordered a vacuum relay from zip corvette, installed it on the passengers side, that head light would come up very slow, now it dont come up, on the phone to zip corvette, they said maybe that relay was faulty we will mail you out a new one. it got here in 2 days so installed that one passenger had light wont come up, hum??? so re installed the slow relay. set at my work bench trying to figure out how to test thease relays. bingo i disconnected the vacuum hoses on the left head light that works perfect. yup just as i thought both relays would not raise my left head light, that shows me both relays i recieved from zip were bad. there boxed up ready to be mailed back today on to a diffrent parts house
