Side window adjustment
The side windows on my 72 convertible do not go up enough to seal against the top. I see how to adjust them but any tricks or other info would be great. Or is there a reparable shop in northern California or southern Oregon that could do it?

If you are seeing how to do the adjustment, do it and see if the one adjustment does the trick. Any time you change one thing it will affect the fit somewhere else. Depending on how far you go up or down the glass will also move inboard or outboard at the top. If adjusting the glass to go up a little further doesn’t result in a bad fit somewhere else you lucked out and are done. If individual adjustments don’t do the trick, attach glass handling suction cups and loosen everything. Then position the glass where you want it and tighten up again.
Before you adjust the window, check the gaps around the door and get that adjusted first. Correcting a little door sag will move the window up. Weatherstripping can be can be puffed up a bit by putting strip caulk underneath in some places.
My biggest difficulty was in getting the top of the glass further outboard after replacing the felt strip on the outside. Wilcox has the correct thickness felt strips, but that didn’t do the trick for me. The window tracks only go in or out at the top. Moving the bottom end of the window tracks in or out is very difficult. I’ve heard more than one C3 owner giving up on getting the window glass adjusted perfectly.

Hi,
Have the same problem with my 71 convert. Have had the door panels off and have set the stops correctly and they go up all the way with the door open. But they rub on the way up when the door is closed, and stop short about 1.5" from the top.
This thread below may help, but am considering Corvette Express in Vacaville or Corvette Connection in San Jose if I can't get my windows to go all the way up. Have never used either, but they have decent reviews online.

if you look in your AIM there are the procedures for doing it. They label all the bolts and nuts and what they do. When I had my door off I labeled them all with a sharpie so it would be easier to adjust. Worked very well
