Default Help! Choke Light will not go off!

My choke light on the speedo will not go off. It runs continuously. It used to light up on startup and then go off but now it stays on all the time. I've got 12 volts at the choke, battery voltage is 12 across the terminals (non-running engine) and around 13.6-13.8 across the terminals with the engine running. The output of the alternator is right at 14 with engine running. I can unplug the choke wire and the light goes out and it comes back on when I reconnect the wire. I've heard about some type of relay in the center console but I'm clueless on how it works. Also, my car is idleing higher than it used to. Around 1000-1100 rpm when it use to idle at 800 or so. Any help will be extremely appreciated. The light is irritating at the least.

PS The alternator light functions correctly. It will light on startup and then go off.

Do you have an Oxygen sensor on your car? Cause I think it's bad. and I have a feeling that is causing the idel selonoid to hold the throttle open as well?
