This is true....we also found years ago on the dyno the MSD boxes add to the delay that the gun in already providing on the dial back function.....it is not the digital light alone....it is the delay.
Use a regular old cheap *** strobe for the high end stuff LOL!

and that is where extra marks on the balancer at 15 and 30 btdc work.

Jeb, can you quantify that delay in degrees? Would it even be significant for street cars?

We saw up to 2-3 degrees from dial back to shitty Craftsman strobe.......back to back shitty Craftsman strobe vs. $400 Snap On strobe showed zero difference. I timed a 358 Pro Stock truck engine with a $29.95 Craftsman light....LOL! It was the owners son's.....and 1 degree there can be worth 40 horsepower!
