I was pulling down my stuck headlight and accidentally grabbed this wire and pulled. It snapped off of somewhere. Anyone know what this was connected to? I thought it may have come from the headlight or blinker. But all headlights, high beams, parking lights and blinkers work fine.
When you turn on you headlights the red light on the center comes on to let you know that the lights do not agree with switch position. Once the headlights are full up the contact in the switches are opened and the light goes out. Letting you know the lights are full open.
But, seriously....JB Weld/part secured with a zip-tie for 24 hours might work...
OR....drill and tap the part if feasable...then attach it to the bracket with a machine screw..
The problem with them is the threaded stem is only attached to the body by 1/2 the diameter so it snaps off easy. And there's not much to try to glue it back onto but if you sand it flat and flatten the housing as well you can try to glue to both sides, might last ???
