Hi All
Any interest out there in seeing the guts of a Hooker 21003HKR Big Block, Reverse Flow[Not Really], slip-in muffler?
Purchased last year and I need to shorten by 4.25"[Semi-Long Story].
Not sure how they consider these "Reverse Flow"
Zig-Zag flow at best.
The slip-ins I'm removing were actual reverse flow, I assume, because the outlet pipe is off center of the end plate.
Hard to say. That 12" or so offset tube, the end plate and the shell are all that remains of the ones in the chrome tubes now.
Only cut 1.5" or so inboard of the end welds of the main tube.
These 2 sections simply slip out of either end.
I'd say they sit about 3" apart in the main tube when installed.
They were never welded to each other.
