Pag oil for a/c
Can somebody please tell me how much PAG oil do I put in the AC compressor on a 1978 Corvette. Internet is unreliable there are so many different opinions. New compressor came pre-filled with 3 oz. System is all brand new and has r134 in it but the guy that came to charge the system ran the compressor without putting refrigerant in and I think he ruined the compressor. So I'm not going to flush the system just put on the new compressor and add oil but I need to know how much. Thanks

6 oz. But I would take a close look to see if there's black debris in the hose openings and the expansion valve/tube. If you see any, then flush the system or you will damage the new compressor. That is the biggest cause for new compressor failure.

check orifice screen and hoses near compressor.. oil capacity should be same as r12 amount shouldn't it?
