Default 2-3” Rear Flares

I’ve been searching for awhile, can’t seem to find anyone that sells a 2-3” rear flare. Has anyone seen something like this? For a 74-82 quarter panel.

I’ve only found rear 2” full fenders with flares from Custom Image Corvettes for 73-82. I have not found 2” add-ons anywhere.

Aren’t the custom image ones 4”?

I spoke with Josh at CIC a few months ago and he told me that he does have the Rear fenders with 2” flares available for the 74-82. He has photos of them for the chrome cars, but not for the 74-82. I’m planning to use his 2” fenders on all four corners in my upcoming project. They are found in his Custom Fiberglass section. Give him a call. He’ll be happy to talk with you.

I believe this project has the 2” rear. While this is a chrome bumper car, the wheel wells are the same. I really like the CIC flares. They blend well.

Back when I did mine I bought like three rear sets from different companies and looked them all over as to what was the best.

Then put on my 13inch wheels and tires to determine how much to cut the wheel wells

Then I used a sawsall to cut up my custom paint job.

With my backspace my tires were an additional 4.5 inches per side

345 width tires on 13inch 6.5 back space with 2 inch wheel adapters

Because of the extra width leverage I use a 520 pound mono spring

The extra rear track makes the rear end very stable even with high hp and road racing slicks. It puts the power to the ground and not tail happy
