Attention Chrome bumper guys: Need new chrome?
I will soon be looking around to get my bumpers rechromed. Would there be any interest by CF members in getting together for a group purchase? If there is enough interest shown here, as I call around to various shops for prices, I will mention that there are a significant number of Forum members interested too. Perhaps some of the shops would offer discounts for volume business?
Any recommendation as to trusted Chrome shops that any of you have dealt with or know others that have dealt with?

When I was at the AutoRama this year, I talked to some guys that ran a shop in south east Michigan. I can't find thier brouche though. Here is a list for a place to start. Not sure how to tell what does refinishing work.

i have a customer that chromes...
i heard that he got set up to chrome aluminum too and i was just thinkin yesterday that i wanted to call him about possibly chroming my aluminum wheels for me...
i could check with him if you guys would like me too about chroming anything that we need chromed...
let me know...

I need to get my rear bumpers rechromed. I would be interested in someone fairly local in Michigan or Ontario. Someone once mentioned a guy in Kitchner, Ontario?? Any ideas?

I need to get my rear bumpers chromed. I wasn't planning on doing it right away, but for the right price and for a group purchase, I could be persuaded :) I'd also like to have my rear license plate frame rechromed, but is it cheaper just to buy a new repro one?

Looks like pretty good turnout so far. I'm sending this to the top to make sure that it doesn't miss anyone. I'm thinking that if enough interest is shown here, that could give us some leverage for a discount. As I said, I will start calling around after the holidays. Hopefully this will give us time to get our bumpers off, sent out, and back for re-installation before cruising season starts again!!

Illinois guy here.. and the nose and azz of my 72 could use a dip or two. Count me in if the $$ is right. But please....after the Holidays! :cheers:
