OK, let me set this up for you. For those of you that run a web site you'll know exactly what I mean, there are some really goofy people on the internet. Earlier today I get this email (NOTE: none of this was edited, I just copied his emails directly);
HELLO, AND HOW DO I PUT PIC,S OF MY CAR ON YOUR SITE
PLEASE HELP
My reply;
I'm not really sure what you need, we don't do picture hosting on our site unless we have a page made for a special type of C3. If you have some special C3 such as an old race car, historic car or something similar we would put pictures up with some background story on the car.
His reply;
HOW ABOUT A C3 1981 WITH 17/11 AND 17/9-1/ 2.UP FRONT THAT'S WHITH NO FLARES ALL TCKED IN WITH A LITTLE RECONTRUCTING OF SUSPETION .HOW'S THAT FOR CUSTOM. I GUESS THE SITE IS TO GOOD FOR NORMAL PEOPLE. BUT THANKS ANYWAY.
Now at this point I'm a bit irritated, so I reply;
Let me get this right. You cop an attitude because we aren't hosting pictures of your Corvette? Well, we have never been a hosting site, what we are trying to do is to provide people with a look at any significant C3's from a documentation point of view, whether it be historical or technical. WE pay for all of this personally, that is WE PAY to travel to shows and WE PAY for the web site costs. WE DO NOT provide a place for people to host their pictures.
If you had introduced yourself sent pictures and said how would you like to document my custom car we would have talked it over and let you know based on how much server space we have. WE DO NOT have space for everyone to put pictures of their cars on the site, nor do we just say yes to someone who sends us an email without any pertinent information.
As for the site being for normal people, it's been up for 4 years now and gets around 16,000 hits a month, I'd say normal people like it.
I suggest you get a grip on life and grow up, or at least act like you are an adult. When you do that learn some proper internet etiquette, then find the spell checker on your computer, jerk.
Now that I think about it I may have been TOO polite. What do you guys think?
Re: This stuff really amazes me, what a jerk! (72rdstr)
:lol: I figured I'd get some good replies here, you guys crack me up. Most of the time I really don't mind if people ask to put pictures up, sometimes we do and sometimes we don't. But this guy really has a lot of nerve getting an attitude because I ask him questions instead of jumping to post his pictures....this is why it's against the law to have kids with your sister!
Off to edit original post to make it easier to read. Thanks for the laugh.
Re: This stuff really amazes me, what a jerk! (C3 Shark Tank)
Seems to me that society should consider adding a ~little~ chlorine to the gene pool. Your response was appropriate as far as I am concerned... :yesnod: Now can you post my car on your website?!?!?! :lol: :lol: :lol:
Re: This stuff really amazes me, what a jerk! (C3 Shark Tank)
Okay, I'll go against the grain. :steering:
I can see where it's frustrating to you, but he really didn't lash out, just a little disappointed that his car isn't special enough to be considered for your site. He sounds like a proud C3 owner who has completed some pretty cool mods. And I know the lack of writing ability just adds to it . . . but he may be a young high school kid who's more interested in cars than school.

Hey Scott,
I's got a neet 1983 konvertble with 2 stage 17567 flux compasetors----
Will you post our pikture two???
Marc- anything for you man, I really like how you set up those flux compasetors :lol:
74-Roadster- I agree with you to a certain extent, but if I wanted someone to post my pictures I would give them a little more info up front and probably a nice picture. But when he said the site was "too good for normal people" that's pushing it, and seeing as he's contacted others in the same manner I think that speaks for itself. I seriously doubt he took a look around because I don't host pictures of peoples Vettes...and unfortunately I don't have the time to devote to the Monthly Featured Vette, I wish I knew how to make automated forms for posting pictures then I might do it for everyone. When I started the site I had no experience making web pages at all but I wanted a central source of things for C3 owners because at the time there was nothing "all C3." Now there are a couple of excellent sites....but before I get way off the subject, glad you like the site! :cheers:
Anyone with the rare "350 motor" option send me pics! :jester (just kidding)
