Default Brake shoes, manufacturing error?

Changing the brake shoes on my C3 for first time, and the brake shoes I’ve received from zip-corvette have the hole for the lower spring in a different spot than the original (original spot in blue, see picture). Are some brake shoes made like this or is this an error on zip’s part?

It helps members identify problems when you take a picture of the entire part. The pic you posted is a good close-up.

IF the rest of the shoe is the same as your old one, just drill a hole in the appropriate area.

It is the same otherwise, I’ll probably just drill a hole as you say

Your old ones look like they have plenty of material on them, put the old ones back in and send the new ones back to Zip

Nope those are bad. Thank you for posting this, I have not seen this issue on them yet. There are a couple of boxes in the last shipment that I have found where that hole is not correct. Please call sales at Zip and we will get this replaced for you. I have the correct ones on the shelf.
Thank You and sorry about this.
Also as a note, there are no companies in the U.S. that produce park brake shoes for the Corvette anymore.

Nice to see a company, once advised of a problem, react quickly with a fix. Kudos to ZIP on this one.
