Hi. I was looking for the reason why I don’t have brake lights. When I found a black electrical box behind the drivers seat under the carpet. In the trunk so to speak. It has 8 wires going in. 2 are corroded off inside the terminal 1 is super green. It has a 3 or 4 plug terminals on the back but wasn’t plugged in. Any help with what it is. And how / where to get it replaced
That is the seatbelt interlogic module. It is designed to inhibit the start circuit if the seatbelt is not connected. Most have long been disabled by the owners.
Thank you. This is great. Is there any suggestions for maintenance manuals that you would suggest. It looks like a lot of hands have been at work in this car.
There is a vast amount of information available - too numerous to list. However, one of the basics is an Assembly Manual. You can search the forum/google for it.
Get a Paragon Corvette catalog. They’re free and are loaded with diagrams and hints. Look at Willcox Corvette’s website. Tons of diagrams.

Most of the vendors have an AIM manual for your car.....Its an assembly manual that is very good at teaching us how these cars are assembled....I refer to mine all the time.
