Yes, it's real...As I recall, this is about 2 years old. It got posted right after it happened, and some C5 forum members were there.
That's why I liked autocrossing my '99 in Houston...NOTHING to hit. Luckily in two years and 4 runs per event, I only spun twice, and still never missed a gate (no DNFs!!!)
This is tragic, but like the 6 Million Dollar Man: "We can rebuild him, we can make him stronger, faster..." :)

i couldn't see it. is it that one with the blue c-5 that hits that guy and he goes flying? i have that one on my computer and i show people that whenever new people come over. the expression is generally, "holy :eek: "

Yes it sounds like the same video.
I'll discribe it for those who haven't seen it:
It shows someone racing a blue C5 in a parking lot set up for the autocross event. These are usually pretty safe events, but the video shows that isn't always the case. The vette is coming around the corne when the gy losses control of it. He actually goes off the parking lot & hits someone that was standin off to the side watching. It pretty scary to see someone fly into the air like the person does. I hope he wasn't hurt to bad. I can't evenimagine what the driver must have felt like afterwards.
Oh well, maybe someone else has the mpeg link.

ive watched that over and over, and i noticed the C5 actually pins the guys arm to the ground, and then hits his body. instant dismemberment. at least it looks like it. :U
