Default Where do these hoses go?

Hi there.
so I have just gotten my first vette (C3 1980 manual) with the 350 SB.
I have just put in an edelbrock 2701 intake manifold, msd ignition hei replacement and edelbrock 1406 carb.

It’s running fine except very high rpm on start (will look at that).
Now I need to get some help on thesr hoses. They were attached to the org carb but the new one doesnt have these inputs.

Tiny hose marked A, goes through firewall on passenger side. Was connected to org. carb next to the power steering input in the back of the carb. There is nowhere to connect this on the edelbrock. What’s it for?

This + marked hose went into a plugin port in the upper front of the org. carb. It goes down along driver side exhaust manifold somewhere… what does it do and where should it go on the edelbrock as it has no such connector? Also the accompaning vacuum hose I’m holding goes downward same area. What does it do? Can it share vacuum from the intake manifold rear (where the headlight control vacuum hose currently goes as it did on the stock intake)?

This is where the + marked hose went on stock carb front upper area..

The hose going through the firewall is probably for your HVAC control. The other large hose probably goes to the vapor canister.

The HVAC vacuum line you can TEE into the headlight vacuum hose ( the hose that goes to a fitting with two hoses out ) ...... The other big hose is a vent line to charcoal cannister and small line goes to the valve on the charcoal cannister , the Edelbrock vent into the air cleaner but put the Qjet vent hose fitting that is stuck in the hose back on the carburetor and save that Quadrajet Carb and your HEI distributor , both have value

What is TEE?😂🙈

so the valve vacuum hise for the canister, can it take vacuum from the intake manifold then? Because thats where the headlight vacuum hose goes.

And I’ll vent the canister into the air cleaner then 👍

This vacuum port has the headlight hose connected. So I should connect both the HVAC tiny hose and the canister valve vacuum here aswell?

TEE is a plastic vacuum connector with 3 ports shaped like the letter "T".

if the high rpm goes away after a minute once you give the gas a knudge then thats the choke mechanism.. there is a high rpm cam in cam in the carb designed for when the car first starts and the choke is engauged... in other words its normal. you can always turn your key to the on position 30 seconds or so before you actually start it to verify thats all it is.
