Just installed the Holley Midmount SBC in black ..Fits with a little trimming to the fan shroud.Need an inverted flare to AN6 to connect the power steering pump .Need to make new AC hose, gonna try and fabricate some PTFE hoses #8,#10 .
Will post up when project is complete..Kit was 1600.00 ,factor in new water pump,AC compressor ,alternator, power steering pump its not a bad deal..Cleans up the engine compartment nicely ..Post up some pics when complete, waiting on some parts to finish up the AC install..Alohas !
To each his own .. I like the clean look & dealing with one belt . I was having issues with belt alignment. New system has high output alternator, modern power steering pump , modular water pump ..No need to remove the housing to replace the pump. Really nice setup.Never had a serpentine belt break on me , Replace them when it’s worn ..I also have a Sniper EFI , 6 speed trans ,Coil overs front and rear .. and Sparco seats .. Car is far from original .. I love the improvements over the stock equipment .. If I had a chrome bumper car different story ..If we all had the same taste it would be a boring world ! I put this out there in case anyone was wondering if this system works on a C3 SBC .. Alohas !
I still don't get the benefit of swapping from v belts to serpentine. Is it that you want to make sure all your accessories go out at once if the belt breaks?

I have the CVF Racing “Wraptor” serpentine system on my car with 140A alternator, Genp 2 PS pump and upgraded AC compressor. Benefits of a serpentine belt system are many. Including being stronger, more belt wrap, less slip, last longer, consistent tension to name a few.

The alternator and PS pump look to be modern technology compared to the alternators and PS pumps on C3s. Wonder if it fits in a C3? Looks like it fits under the hood. Enough room for the radiator? Also, does the crank pulley interfere with the cross member. I'll try to give Holley a call.

The serpentine belts have less friction loss that all the V belts. The tensioner idler makes adjusting belt tension a snap. From experience with my DD 97 Ford Thunderbird: **** howdy Buddy. When you break your serpentine belt on the freeway, you aint going very far..engine temp skyrockets.

Alohas, Had no fitment issues other than trimming the fan shroud to clear the crank pulley and a slight trim for the PS pump pulley..There's an electric fan tucked in the shroud .
Will report back when the AC lines are complete.Using Aeroquip AC fittings and #8 ,#10 PTFE hose for the AC lines off the compressor ..
The part number for the PS line adapter 5/8-18 to AN6 Fragola 491942-BL & AN6 coupler 220641B ,was unable to find an adapter Inverted flare to female AN6 only a male ,hence the AN6 coupler ..
AC fittings Aeroquip Your application might need different angle fittings ...

FCE1814 #10 with charge port
FCE1713 #8 straight
FCE1724 #10 45deg

Hope this helps anyone thinking of this install ..It cleans up the engine compartment and looks sweet ..!
Assuming the radiator is in the same place in a big block, is there enough room to mount this system on a big block? It appears that Holly will be offering this system for the Gen V big blocks in late August of this year. It's really nice with billet aluminum brackets. The alternator is designed to withstand the higer rotational speeds of a performance engine. Looks like the PS pump is also billet aluminum. Looks like it'll cost something like $1700, which includes all the accessories, including an AC compressor.
Years ago, GM offered a serpentine kit for BB's. It's discontinued but can be bought from Summit. I bought this kit years ago, and returned it. The brackets are all cast iron with a cast iron water pump. Grossly heavy. I didn't want to put it in my car because of the weight issue.
Also, some time ago, I was interested in a March serpentine system for the BB. It was pretty pricey. The crank pulley was too large. It required cutting a notch in the crossmember under the crank pulley. No way. That cross member is not very strong anyhow. I asked if they would make a smaller crank pulley for me. Surprisingly they refused. Doesn't seem like it should have been a big deal. So I decided to forget March.

I have CVF Racing serpentine kit in the picture on my car. They do make a kit for the BB Chevy as well. Here is the link
GOOD JOB!!! I been drooling for this system for a long while now… only thing is undo not want an electric fan. Was thinking of modifying the water pump pulley for a fan clutch. Need to verify the pump shaft is in the same location (middle of shroud) … then again, DeWitts makes a really nice PWM Spal fan, with a special sensor it’s variable speed , the “universal” one they make looks OEM.

On a BB with all the accessories moved to the front of the engine I don't see anyway to get it to clear the crossmember unless an under-drive pulley is used and not sure that even that would clear.
Moving all the accessories to the front they use a tall water pump and a crank pulley to match.
I ended up cutting the crossmember and filling it with a rolled plate to stiffen it up when I installed the Zoop's system (no longer in business).

can you elaborate on what you mean by trimming power steering pump pulley? Looking to purchase this just making sure it will fit.

Well for one thing you get a tensioner that tightens everything everywhere all at once.
