Several years ago I saw a trailing arm bolt that was adjustable so you could set the toe in/out without shims. I have been trying to find them but since I don't remember what they are called I can't find them on google or by searching the forum. Does anybody know the name and where I can buy them?
Yes, those adjusters were called Guldstrand Adjusters. They are no longer available. To add these to your car, you had to lift the body off the frame and weld nuts to the frame. The adjusters would then thread thru these nuts. A spherical joint was added to the end of the trailing arm and the arm would pivot on this joint. Some people liked them and some did not. These were purchased from Guldstrand Engineering. which is no longer in business. Dick Guldstrand died a few years ago.
I bought these from Dick Guildstrand's shop, Motorsports. His eyes lit up when I asked for a pair. I assumed he had plenty at the time. I didn't think the trailing arms needed spherical joints for these to work. Could be wrong. I have no idea. I'm not particularly interested in selling these at this time. Maybe they're still available from whom ever took over Dick's business.
