Default 1982 blend door inoperative

My 1982 vette will only blow air out the bottom heater vents. Cold/hot controls work. Air clicks on and selector will shut everything 'off.

No defrost and no vent, just bottom air. Looked at vacuum lines behind controls, all connected. I do not hear a vacuum leak. At a loss how to proceed. Really need defrost to function. Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum, Tony, and congratulations on your C3!
This is more of a "hello" section. I would encourage you to post your question in the C3 Tech area within the C3 sections at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-1968-1982-5/.
Best wishes for an easy (and inexpensive) fix!

Welcome to the forum, Tony. Check in the engine compartment for a loose vacuum hose. I had exactly the same problem from this cause.

Small vacuum line in the engine bay is disconnected........ it's a hard line, connects behind the distributor to a rubber hose. Just slides in.

No Corvette owner should be without a Mityvac. Check for vacuum at the blend door and work back to the intake manifold. I had the same problem, a leaking vacuum line along the firewall. I replaced the 3 HVAC vacuum lines that ran from the select switch to the engine compartment. The original lines are plastic. The replacement lines are rubber but still works.
