I had purchased two distributors over time. One was a standard distributor, the other a tach drive distributor. I would like to get the specs on the vacuum advance part of the distributor.
The standard distributor has a MS 355 15 which was installed on 66-67 Nova with the L79 engine. Could not find the range of advance. Used it to get oil into all the areas where oil should be. The car had been sitting for 23 years and not started.
The tach drive distributor came of a 1971 Corvette per the seller. The number on that one is MS 421 24. Could not find the range of advance.
I have Lars paper on the vacuum advance info. The numbers he gives are for Echlin replacements. These are original GM vacuum advance units.
I will be putting the tach drive distributor on a early 1970 L46. This a spare engine I purchased a while ago and will replace my original engine which will be bagged and tagged.
Any information would be appreciated.
