Hey all of the Corvette forum! I've recently got an '82 Corvette and it kept flashing a code 44, which I believe is the o2 sensor reading that the engine is running lean. We took it to the mechanic and they said that it's not actually running lean but the car thinks it is. We got it back after they basically said they couldn't figure it out yet and there were no check engine lights for a while, but today after driving it for a bit, the code 44 came back. Any ideas to make it stop?
From: Arizona - If you don’t know CFI, STOP proliferating the myths around it...
Have you checked the fuel pressure? Set it to 13psi for max performance, GM spec, not mine. Just wondering how they determined that it is not running lean? If they couldn't figure it out, it is more than likely they do NOT know anything about a CFI and I would NOT take it back to them.

try running a little higher octane and then take it for a good run to clean it out
