I don’t think he plans to drive the car with the halfshafts removed.
You will have no issues with the car on its wheels static, with the shafts removed, assuming the strut rods are still attached.

it may be a hassle getting to all the bolts that way. Do you not want to jack it up? YOu can jack it up by the differential and put jack stands at the front of the trailing arm at the frame in case it falls. I just find getting all those bolts out easier if I can turn the wheels

not sure how wobbly that would be...the only thing keeping it from twisting would be the strut on the bottom and the shock
