Another great option would be to call Howard’s cams tech line (920) 233-5228.
They are very helpful!

Are you using the TPI system off of the L98 as well? Comp Cams grinds a hydraulic roller cam specifically for that application. You would need to convert your block to roller cam, however.

Is your 70 block already fitted with pistons ? Have you considered compression ratio ?

auto or manual?
if auto what stall convertor do you have or want?
diff ratio?
cruising on the street or racing round on a track or drag?

many things to consider when when choosing a cam, the wrong setup will be a dog to drive.....

Round, because L98 heads are worth melting for beer cans.

Well ...in addition to some C4s, Camaros, and Firebirds ... L98 heads were also OE on ZZ3 & ZZ4 & x603 crates; all 3 obsolete and discontinued.
True, they don't (& won't) flow much but their small 58cc chambers are good for raising dished motors' compression; that's about it!
Their chambers are Not Fastburn design. They're also both obsolete and discontinued.
