So far, the motor is finished along with the Hooker Sidepipes. I'm cleaning and painting the 4spd, bellhousing, and hurst shifter. Since the carpet needs to be changed and running Automete gauges, I thought why not re-wire the car via Painless Wiring.
This is the original hardtop, NEVER been bolted on the car in the 23yrs we have owned the car. As you can see it needs to be painted. I'll do that along with the hood, and rear exhaust panel.
Pics of new L88 hood from Vanacor. It would look too bad painted flat black like the '60's MOPARS. :D
Re: *UPDATE* My Big Block project continues (GrandSportC3)
Thanks for the update!!! When do you think that you'll have her back on the road??
Well, my dad did the frame off about 15 years ago. The undercarrige is imacculate but the engine bay shows a little wear which will REALLY be apparent with the new engine. So I'll be sanding and painting before the engine goes in. While I'm doing that my dad will be re-wiring the car along with the gauges. Then we need to paint the hood, rear exhaust panel, and touch up a spot or too. The paint doesn't look bad for 15 years old! Then again it lives in a covered garage. :D

Corey 68,
That is very nice. Looks like its coming along well. The Painless Wiring was a good investment, IMHO. When the time comes to re-do mine, I will not bat an eye at plunking down the $$ for that.
Re: *UPDATE* My Big Block project continues (Corey 68)
 look how high that front end is with no engine! I love that hood! but then im a bit biased. very, very cool. thats about how my interior looks right now, so dont feel bad. :D
