O-ring brakes
Your correct. The lip seals need to be frequently driven . The O-ring calipers claim to stay in shape even if the car is not driven for longer periods.
By the way, the calipers are the same, only difference is the caliper pistons.
You can always change back either way by replacing just the pistons, but keeping your calipers.
I decided to go the O-ring way, but can't tell you right now how they work due to that I just installed them and am waiting for spring. :D

As someone else mentioned, it's not too big a job to swap back if necessary, just time consuming.
