Transmission upper mounting bolts
Hey fellas, I am still going over the 1981 vette I bought last week. This forum has so far helped me fix the loose steering column issue and front wheel metal scraping sound and I am grateful to you all.
Now this morning while i was checking the transmission (th350) mounting bolts, bottom mounting bolts to crossmembers are in tight but one of the upper mounting bolt that bolts to the aluminum transmission case is loose. I believe it’s stripped. Time to get helicoil kit correct? But in meanwhile, how bad that upper one bolt that is loose on the transmission case affect transmission? Will it shake bad/clunk when shifting gears?

If your not careful it'll try to strip the other bolt threads or worse, break the ear off. (at least I think the th350 has an ear for the vettes
Can you get a longer bolt up through the stripped side and put a washer/nut on it until you can "fix" it
