Flavio, go and try some so called Metrinch sockets. Snap on also has them. They donīt attack the corners of the nut but the flat sides.
This works even on rounded nuts.......
I tried it myself, rounded a nut at the demo with a standard socket (and believe me - they dont just call me the Bigblocker....:D) and it went off easily with the Metrinch socket.

take a small sharp chisel and a good beater --make a nice groove--then wack it lefty loosey-lots of wd-40 and try a little heat
OK, just bought a 3/4 tap with wrench and will give it a shot when I can get away from everyone for a couple of hours. :cheers:
