Because forum members asked, here is a Windows Desktop Wallpaper (1024x768)version of the photo that will run in the future 50 Years of Corvette story for my Sound Classics column:
I ask only two things of you: take the opportunity at some point to read my columns and articles at http://www.apexstrategy.com, and if you like them and happen to know editors for Auto sections in your region, tell them about Sound Classics...I'm gaining momentum in the Northwest, but would love to expand to other regions.
The anniversary red is very beautiful in the flesh. It's elegant, deep and rich. The interior is a nice look, but I'd hate to try to keep it clean. Also, I would guess that color matching would be impossible in the event of a scratch or ding.
But the most important thing is that the package is a $5K addition, and buying a 2003 50AE coupe costs more than a 2003 loaded 6 speed convertible, because 2003 conv'ts are going at invoice. Since there's no extra power, just "style" and the new suspension (and I'd rather have a Z51 performance suspension,) is it really worth $5K for a paint color? Not in my opinion.
