See my sig for components. No problems with body flex but I'm not a serious racer.

Call up Vette Brakes & Products, they make the best from what I hear, and it's what I intend to use in my '77. They have several to choose from to suit your driving style and needs.

Here's what is on my "wish-list"

Keep in mind I'm just starting on my project, so I can't give you any experience how it rides/handles

1.) Performance Plus Suspension from Vette Brakes and Products
2.) 6-link rear suspension modification (search under 6-link)
3.) Guldstrand 5-bar rear suspension (or a combination with above would be VERY cool)
4.) Upgrade to 17-18" wheels.
5.) Using customized trailing arms, increase rear tire width to 285-295
6.) Using "Chevy Power Book" as a guide, stiffen frame

NOTE these are not in order of importance or order in which the mods should be done....

A lot of the setup is determined by vehicle weight, weight reduction does wonders in the handling department (73's aren't exactly light to begin with especially in mines case with the LS-4). Wheels and tires are your biggest bang for the buck as far as handling. But before you start your upgrades, make sure what you currently have is up to snuff. Great wheels, tires, shocks, and springs, only help you so much if you handicap it with all shot bushings. Also don't underestimate the power of a properly set up alignment. If you do searches on swaybars, shocks, and springs, you'll see that we have discused this topic quite a bit and there are many different oppinions on what works best. I like my setup a lot on my car even with the stock BB springs, it's firm but not harsh (I'll drive the 86 if I want firm and harsh), albeit I do plan on upgrading all the springs later on the 73. I autocrossed this setup once and it did better then I expected, I believe the car is a more capable autocrosser then I am currently
