Default Window Adjustment/Binding Problem

I am completing my 81' restoration and have had the doors off and completely disassembled. All parts lubed and tested. My initial adjustment has the window alignment pretty good but it moves at different rates as thought there is binding somewhere as well as not consistently reaching the full up position without assistance. In addition, the window seems to lean way to far inward such that when it contacts the new weather strips, it has too much pressure for the motor to overcome.
I have researched for an answer but still in the dark.
Any suggestions for window adjustment and tips for smoother operation would be appreciated.
Thanks

I also have a 81 vette, the window can be adjusted if needed. you must take the door panels off to do it. there are 2 adjustment bolts to move the window track in or out. I replaced the windshield post gaskets and the rear gaskets for the door window seal, it is important that you use the 2 metal clamps on each windshield post gasket they pull the gasket in so not to restrict the travel of the side window up and down, any resistance to the window travel it will stop the motor, I had trouble with my passanger door window at first but it finally broke in and works great now.

Thanks. I'll be working on it today. I replaced all the weather-stripping as well. I do have restrictions and it is in fact stopping travel. At present I am not certain where the restriction is coming from. I am considering taking the assembly out again and replacing all the rollers even though they did not seem to be a problem when I had them out the first time before paint. Certainly one of the more perplexing adjustments of all the many I have encountered. There must be some tricks and things to look for but so far my research has not proven too valuable.

You might want to ask this same question in the general paint and body thread section.
Many of the paint and body experts lurk there.
