On a Non-A/C car, it is for a little plastic duct that would go up and comes out just below the wiper switch panel
I do not know if in an A/C car that would be different or not as I'm not sure it would feed some of the duct that would go out the A/C vents that are in the wiper switch panel
I think (?????) the AC cars have a different box and in that area it's totally different to handle the gauge vents but I've never worked on one so...
