Camaro wheels

Anyone installed late eighties Camaro wheels {5 spoke} on a mid seventies Vette ?Any pics ? and degree of differculty ? spacers required ?

do you know waht the back spacing is for the new wheels?

I get to NZ alot I do the Antarctic thing and see a nice vette around the Christchurch area. do you know this person? Thinking of going down there soon to do another year just have to make up my mind.

thanks for your reply,3. 7/8 " backspace on front and 4. 1/2 "on the back,ive seen them on a 69 vette but wether my 77 is any different i dont know.ive never been to Christchurch ,although i have been to 33 states in the USA and id trade countries with ya any day.I dont have a New Zealand flag ,but i do have a stars and stripes and that hangs proudly on my wall. :flag

Have you tried to e-mail VB&P they sell or can tell you if it will work or what you will need for it to work.
there is a guy on a different site who put 98 camaro wheels on a 72 vette I have a pic but haven't figured out who to post pics here yet.
He is using a 17x9 wheels and is useing 2 1/2 inch spacer plates.
Looks great.

I know we need a 5" back space, that's what the 80 aluminum wheel is .

I would really like to see this, do you have a link?
I was actuallu thinking about whether it was possible today, say wheels from a 98 Z28.

I know we need a 5" back space, that's what the 80 aluminum wheel is .

I've seen the IROC wheels on a C-3 and I think they used a 1/4" spacer, I you go to 4th gen Camaro wheels, you will have to use a 2" wheel adaptor.

You need a wheel adaptor.. Late model Camaro wheels have much more backspacing the regular C3 rims...

I have the 72 w/98 SS wheels - hopefully picture link works below. 2.5" VB spacers center them pretty well, 2.25" probably would work also. Tires are 275/40 R17, no rubbing or interference issues to date.
