TH400 Soft Shifts
Good morning everyone.
I'm having an issue with my TH400.
I've replaced the vacuum modulator and cranked it up a bit to firm up shift points but I am still shifting pretty soft.
So, here I am, hoping to get some advice on what I should be looking at next?
I do hope that my tranny isn't just worn out and in need of a rebuild.

I should attempt to be more specific.
Under normal driving conditions I don’t really notice any problem.
When I’m giving it some gas, or under wide open throttle that is when it is most noticeable.
It is a very soft, long, shift. Couple days ago I was driving and thought for a minute it wasn’t going to shift at all from second to third. It really wound up before shifting.

rpm shift is governor.
strength of shift,,,
pump pressure
worn bands
sticky worn valve body.
Shift kits with springs, different valve body gasket, ***** will apply more pressure to the shift actuation.
