I was curious if anyone has or has thought about using a single vacuum line off of the manifold to a splitter or "block" to help neaten the vacuum lines running around the top of the engine. I have deleted a bunch of the emissions stuff and I'm left with 4-5 lines and considered the idea. The idea would be to be able to label the lines for easy diagnostic and I would be able to shorten many of the hoses and maybe mount out of the way near the driver side of the engine bay, and limit the total amount of lines that have to run to the engine. Thoughts? They seem to be pretty cheap.

I have one vacuum hose dedicated for the pb booster that connects to the back of the carb. The only other vacuum port I connect for everything else and using a tee or two is from the intake manifold just below the carb pad. My vacuum canister is plugged because I use a MAP sensor connected to my programmable MSD box.
Very very clean setup, it's been a project car for quite a while now and I forgot how much the air cleaner hides once it's on aswell. Picture is super helpful aswell. I will t them together the best I can before going into anything crazy.
Vacuum lines? One for headlights/HVAC, large one for power brake booster and one small one for distributor vacuum advance.
Not much to clean up really, And I hide nothing under a huge drop base air cleaner.
These 2 at the rear.
And this one which I suppose I could tidy up by T ing off the headlight/HVAC line.
Can't imagine what else you have a vacuum line for if you have eliminated the pollution junk.
