My transmission is leaking from where the Speedo cable is connected.
It was recently replaced at a shop. Is there an o-ring or something that could have potentially been left out that could cause this?
Speedo.housing has 2 seals an o ring around the outside of housing and a lip seal that seals against speedometer gear. There maybe be a small wire ring to retain lip seal. If housing or shaft of gear is worn play may cause seal not to seal on shaft. It's possible to install seal backwards also. Lip faces in.

Thank you. Should I expect to see a lot of tranny fluid drop when I pull the speedo cable?
Not really fluid could have made its way into cable and casing but that might be an once at most. Removing housing will make a mess particularly on ramps.
If the fluid is new or still good, put a Clean catchpan under the transmission if the front of the car is lifted.
When you remove the parts to repair them you will be able to reuse the good fluid (if a lot of fluid drains out because the car is "Nose-High").
I got the speedo cable out. The angle plus the size and depth of that tiny o-ring make it hard to tell anything about orientation or condition of that o-ring.
It might be in my best interest to just install a new o-ring.
Well, it looks like the culprit will be either one of the two o-rings, or the speedo gear itself. Since I’m in there, all three are getting replaced. It’ll take a few days to get the parts. Fingers crossed. Thank you everyone!
