Default Idler arm torque?

Hello. I will be reassembling my relay rod and idler arm. I looked in the A.I.M. but I can't find the torque spec for the castle nut that attaches the idler arm to the relay rod. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and take care.

Thanks for the numbers. Were they in the AIM, or did you get them elsewhere? Thanks again.

Hello again, sorry I should of mentioned it was a 69, if it makes a difference. Are those numbers the same on a non power steering as a power steering? Just curious.

It was for a 1970 but the steering linkage was the same. Would torque to 35 lb.ft. then tighten to match castle nut to hole. That is why the 35 lb.ft. to 47 lb.ft. to allow for alignment of nut.
