For a 200 R4 I vote for a 3.70 rear.
That gives you 10.8 in 1st, and 2194 rpm at 70 mph.
Great takeoff around town, and nice and relaxed on the highway.
3.55s drop that to 9.8 in 1st, you probably won't notice the difference.
But highway at 70 drops to 2105 rpm.
That's just about as low as you want to go for a highway rpm, but it could still work, if that is the gear ratio you run into..
But if you're buying, go 3.70s!
If you had a substantially bigger cam say 235-245-250 dur, you would want to get your highway cruise rpm up even higher.
Thanks guys for all the replies.
I bought the 3.70 set. I'll be installing it around february when my engine is finaly back in the car.
Should be able to get it back on the road around march!
I went 4.11 with the 4L80e trans (0.70 od) , I also added to tire height by 1 inch. I do a lot of no prep racing and a ton of street driving. Several thousand miles a year actually. I am at 2400 at 65mph . And do several 100 mile or more trips a year.
A 2500 Chevy Pick up has a very similar rpm to my set up. And can go for well over 100,000 miles

I'm late to the party since you already picked up the 3.70 set. I've had 3.55, 3.70, 4.11. With overdrive I would go with the 4.11. The 3.70 will be a much better choice than the 3.08 for sure. Alot more fun
