Gotta give more info when requesting information. Budget, purpose, simple or in-depth, stock / aftermarket… etc…

My son and I did a lot of research and decided to go with this. Front and rear with coil overs included. He purchased it and got it delivered but we haven’t got it installed yet though.

A lot of good info here:

Edit: This setup may be more of what you’re looking for.

Coilovers & fabbed A-arms are a great way to go, if they are in your budget. If not, a lot of people get good results with OEM and quality bushings.

Hey 80CRUZ... I am currently rebuilding the front suspension and steering. I am sticking with the stock system as I prefer to leave everything as stock as possible. I purchased everything I needed through the summer so I could rebuild it this winter. I tried to purchase quality components. Use sites like Ecklers, Paragon, Rockauto
And I am sandblasting the control arms and will epoxy primer and paint as I go. The only part I chose not to replace is coil springs. I was concerned about changing the ride height with fresh springs..... Anyway... So far so good!!! Good luck can answer any questions you may have!

Agreed, We really need a little more information.
None the less, Let's just assume that you just wish to rebuild the stock setup back to stock.
First and foremost. every Kit I have seen is full of Chinese parts. I wouldn't consider buying a kit. But rather source each and every part individually to get the best parts possible. Saving a couple bucks here is false economy. Redoing a job like this will cost you far more than the savings you realise from a "Kit".

Thankyou very much. Yes I am going back stock and want to change and or refurbish just like you did. Do you happen to have a parts list of the bushings etc.? I would also like to have it all together before starting. Thanks again, this is the first time attempting to do this .

I have rebuilt the front end on both of my C3's and I did my first one all stock with all new bushings, ball joints, shocks, springs etc. All with new stock components. Also, stripped and painted everything with POR15 which I highly recommend.
On my 73 I did more aftermarket with some stock components but the main upgrade I did over stock was Aldan American coilovers instead of shocks and springs. If you upgrade anything while going through this rebuild I do highly recommend the coil overs from Aldan or QA1. The ability to adjust the height in the front is big especially as you upgrade other items down the road that can raise or lower the front end such as engine, radiator, etc. Hope this helps you and best of luck!

Jake and Lucas, be careful with that rear spring. It is the Hyperco spring and it tends to sit much higher than stock, even with the longer bolts.

We went for the coil over system. I just mentioned that the other system may be more in-line with what he’s looking for.

I recently purchased the StreetGrip kit because I want to lower the rear of the car. Am I missing something?

Many have reported that it made those car sit much higher and that it’s a bit difficult to get it lower.

I’ll see if I can find a thread about it.
