1971 rear suspension shims
Rear leaf spring has the same shim on both sides
Our Corvette was purchased new & is a numbers matching car. Has anyone seem shims like these? Did they ever do this at the factory? Did dealers ever install shims like this? Weird

IMO,
no way factory
never seen anything like this, looks like they could fall out in traveling and be dangerous to handling
no sane dealer would install this
I would remove those shims pronto and before driving it.
