Default T-56 6speed owners inside.

What type of gauges(Speedomter and Tachometer) are you running with the 6 speed? Mechanical or electrical? I will be slipping in a T-56 very soon and was curious which route I had to take?

We considered the T-56 with a 3.90 rear end, but decided to stay with the Richmond 6-ROD. We are using all Autometer guages. The speedo is mechanical, because at the time the electronic did not have a trip meter. We use 10 total Autometer guages.

Do I need an electric or mech speedo with the 6 speed?

That depends on where you get the T56. If you pull it from a Camaro or Firebird, then you will need an electronic speedometer. I am getting ready to pick up an Autometer in dash electric speedo and tach for mine soon.

If you go the route of this guy.

You can use a mechanical speedo.

Mine came out of a 99 Camaro. You can hook up the speedo to the vehicls speed sensor output of the trans. You can also use the back-up switch in the trans with your existing wiring. How are you going to handle the Reverse lockout solenoid?

Not really sure. On mine, the signal comes from the computer when the car is under i think 5mph.

Maybe you could rig up a micro switch to the shifter handle. I was going to do this since I am using the original muncie shifter handle. It already has that T-bar thing for reverse.

When the solenoid is energized you can shift into reverse. Let me know what you come up with.

Are you going to use the hydraulic clutch from the WS6?

I'm not sure, I haven't picked it up yet, but I plan to run an explosion proof belhousing instead of the original.

What are your plans for the crossmember? Does someone make one that bolts up to the tranny? Gonna make one?
