I puchased the electric headlamp conversion (new design) from Richard Hayes. I'll hopefully get around to installing this next week once I get this silly jeep off my lift, but so far the packaging and parts look good, and his instruction manual is well detailed. The cost was quite reasonable and I like that the install does NOT require modifying or grinding anything on the headlamp asssemblies:
Curious who else on here has installed the kit and how do you like it?
I have Richard’s kit on my 69 and absolutely love it! Really nice upgrade. Truly a plug and play system. I have also been lucky enough to meet the man in person. Really good guy too!
Richard’s kit is THE finest available IMO, I have done 6 of them now, 4 on my personal Corvettes. If you offer up a nice BBQ lunch he may just come to your shop for a visit.
The "new" design uses different motors than the Miata/Probe/whatever original conversions used, and don't require grinding or modifying the headlamp assemblies.

Honestly, Richard sells no junk, he is the real deal and I have his kit as well.
