Default 80 C3 California Code 15(ect sensor high)

Hello Corvette Forum,

I just came into possession of my first Corvette and it's kinda been headache. I have had it for about 14 days now and still cant get this check engine light to go away so i can smog it and finish my title transfer. Available information seems hard to come by for an 80, but I find 81 all the time but they have some controller differences? I'm stuck with a code 15, engine coolant temp sensor code. I started off fixing coolant leaks, thermostat and ensuring the system is free of air bubbles to no change. Next I replaced the sensor located between cylinder 1 and 3 exhaust ports, my temp Guage is more interactive than ever but still stuck with code 15. Some stuff I have found indicates that there should be a dual wire sensor on the intake manifold around the thermostat somewhere? I don't have one around this area, instead i have 3 thermal vacuum switches,, perhaps this is wrong? Also I have to single pin connectors just floating around.

Some help would be hugely appreciated, the lack of reliable service information is a major hangup.

code 15 is "open coolant sensor circuit"
code 14 is "SHORTED COOL SENSOR"

the green plug/wire
need a digital volt meter with dwell meter setting or a plain ole dwell meter
turn to 6cyl dwell mode

Ok, good information here. For sure I have a code 15, not a 14. I'll have to grab my Fluke or ociliscope from work tomorrow to do this dwell test. Is the dwell test off of the green connector? And im still stuck with is there a seconded ECT sensor in another location?

I would remove the plugs to computer and clean all the contacts.
I can't express enough the trouble caused by
computer connections.
clean plug and then ecu pins/flats.
looking clean doesn't cut it.
