I have 1968 in pines that Im putting together. As it wasn't me who disassemble the car, I'm unsure about a lot of things
I have this brake switch.
But in the spare part catalog is it not shown, (i know a lot is a unique on the 69).
My question is , do I need nr 23 in the picture from the parts catalog, and all the other stuff that has to do with the brake switch, or is the switch I have "all in one".

68 does not have the seperate style brake lever arm like that. It is part of tthe pedal
look at these pics of this etup and see if you can see how it should be mounted
theres a few pics of different angles https://store.tracyvette.com/item/999/
Is it so that the brake pedal pushes directly on the switch, without any extra “things” mounted on the pedal?
thats what i think i see in the pictures.

I blieve so yes. IT doesnt have that adjustable arm. Its a point of discussion in power brake conversions as the 69 and later have to move tat as you use the opposite hole for the plunger
Just make sure you are looking at 1968 diagrams only. The switch attaches with the two bolts you see in the picture, above the pedal. Finger tight on both of them,,,, then make sure the little lever moves when the brake pedal is released. You can check continuity at the switch to be sure it works. Then tighten them. The switches you get at the parts houses work for a year or so and then fail.
Some of the images you see on line, are not correct for the 68.
