Autometer Fuel gauge reads low
I've installed an Autometer fuel gauge and I'm wondering if I got the right one:
2-1/16" FUEL LEVEL, 0-90 Ω, AIR-CORE, GM, SSE
When the tank is full it reads half. The stock gauge read correctly so I'm pretty sure the sender is fine. Any suggestions for next steps?

90 ohms sounds correct to me. Perhaps you got one that was packed or marked incorrectly. I would return the gauge.

Yes it should, you can double check the resistance of your sending unit fairly easily. Connect a ohm meter to the sending unit plug (connector) in the left rear quarter panel. Have a friend hook the sending unit float arm with a coat hanger bent to shape and have them pull float to the top, and push float to the bottom as you watch your ohm meter. Should swing from out 2 or 3 ohms to approximately 90 Ohms.
