Default Front Rotors

I am replacing the original front rotors. So obviously I had to drill out the rivits. My question is..... Am I supposed to replace the rivits with some kind of nut and bolt?

I would consider what @GTR1999 does, as outlined in this thread, to be "best commercial practice".

Do you have a way of determining your rotor runout?

Yes I have a dial indicator. So is that the only option to drill and tap the hub?

How do you use the car ? Track / street or street only ? If street only and run out is good , you really don`t need to rivet / bolt rotors . Just make sure you torque wheels to spec. I replaced my original rotors 15 years ago and didn`t rivet them back on , I just use my 69 for pleasure use about 1,000 a year , with out problems . This is just my opinion and what I do .

There is no reason to replace the rivets or install a threaded fastener. Put the new rotor on, install lug nuts and check runout if that is important to you.

You can absolutely get away with just holding the rotors in place with the lug nuts. But do check the runout, and index the rotors somehow. The C3's fixed calipers are more sensitive to runout than cars with floating calipers.

I only drive the car for pleasure. Car shows, special occasions etc..... So I will dial in the run out shim as necessary..... Thank you everyone
